Care

Excellent clinical care is of utmost importance for us but we don’t stop there.  We appreciate that life’s little things mean a lot so we take our time to really get to know what matters to our residents.  We are passionate about doing everything we can to make sure our residents have joy in their lives, a sense of purpose and feel at home in their surroundings.

Person and Family Centered Care is at the core of our ethos.  We recognise that a resident’s experience of care is better when we have a collaborative relationship with families.  We have a new dedicated Resident & family liaison manager who provides family support and consultation.

Our Approach

What makes us different is that nothing is too much trouble and we really do want to make our residents happy and comfortable. We want our residents to be surrounded by people and things they know and love. We know it’s often the little things that matter. We are here to make every day better.

Virtue

Virtue is a very experienced provider of elder care services in Ireland. We provide the very best for our residents and their quality of life is central to everything that we do.

At Virtue we believe in listening to and acting on feedback from our residents and our residents family. We strive to continuously improve what we do through feedback, training for our teams and upgrading our care facilities.

We understand that it’s not just physical care that our residents need. We pride ourselves on facilitating exceptional social care programmes, providing our residents with meaningful recreation and activity options.

Brídhaven is a place where families can be confident that your loved ones happiness and wellbeing is our focus every day.

Infection Control

Our priority at Brídhaven is the safety of our residents and staff. We ensure that all of our team are fully trained in infection prevention and control measures and have easy access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Our ability to manage the Houses within Brídhaven as distinct and discrete living areas helps us to reduce the number of contacts across residents and staff. We have provided additional changing rooms and canteens to ensure social distancing and reduce crossover of staff.

Our team are well trained in infection prevention and control measures. We are in regular contact with the HSE, HIQA, and other healthcare experts. We provide continuous training on infection prevention and control for our team. Temperature and symptom checks are carried out twice daily and our vaccination uptake has been very high.

We have always maintained excellent PPE supplies and our team wear PPE as appropriate. We have meticulous house keeping cleaning procedures in place. Hand hygiene stations are positioned conveniently throughout Brídhaven, and FFP2 masks are readily available for staff and visitors alike.

Adrienn Zagyva is our Infection Control Nurse Specialist, ensuring all guidelines, processes and polices are adhered to, minimising risk to our residents.
