Brídhaven Nursing Home opened with 24 beds in 1989, the site having been acquired by the Mills’ Family from the Sisters of Mercy. It is named after Saint Brigid (Irish: Naomh Bríd), one of Ireland’s patron saints. The nursing home offers residential care services to people from Mallow, North Cork, Cork City, and surrounding areas.
The home was recently acquired by Virtue Integrated Care in early in 2021.
Brídhaven Nursing Home is situated in the town of Mallow, County Cork, approximately thirty-five kilometres north of Cork city and a twenty-five-minute drive. It is known as the ‘Crossroads of Munster’ and is Cork’s largest town.
