We are passionate about doing everything we can to make sure that our residents have joy in their lives, a sense of purpose and feel at home in their surroundings. What makes us different is that nothing is too much trouble and we really do want to make our residents happy and comfortable. We want our residents to be surrounded by people and things they know and love. We know it’s often the little things that matter. We are here to make every day better.
We provide the very best for our residents and their quality of life is central to everything that we do.
At Brídhaven we believe in listening to and acting on feedback from our residents and our residents family. We strive to continuously improve what we do through feedback, training for our teams and upgrading our care facilities.
We understand that it’s not just physical care that our residents need. We pride ourselves on facilitating exceptional social care programmes, providing our residents with meaningful recreation and activity options.
Brídhaven is a place where families can be confident that your loved ones happiness and wellbeing is our focus every day.
We appreciate that life’s little things mean a lot, the way we like our cup of tea, how much marmalade we like on our toast! We take our time to really get to know what matters to our residents, their life’s passions and how they like to plan their day.
Our Resident & Family Liaison Manager ensures that the transition into Brídhaven is managed with sensitivity and compassion, and those little details are noted and communicated to the wider team.
We are passionate about doing everything we can to make sure our residents have joy in their lives, a sense of purpose and feel at home in their surroundings. Our exciting new activities plan and social calendar mean that Brídhaven is a place where our residents can flourish and enjoy their lives to the full, as well as integrating within their local community.
What makes a home great is the people who live and work here. Our caring team comprises highly qualified and compassionate people, trained to deal with everything from everyday support to more complex needs. From the friendly laundry lady who returns residents clothing, to the maintenance man who personalises residents’ rooms, to the social care team who help with favourite activities; all of us work to help our residents live their best life.
Our residents enjoy high quality care and an active lifestyle with outings, parties, celebrations and the making and nurturing of friendships.
My role is to support residents and their loved ones by sharing the journey of moving from home to Brídhaven, whether that be for a period of respite or for longer term care, and supporting you in the process.
I am an Older Persons Clinical Nurse Specialist and my master’s degree thesis explored the needs of caregivers of people with dementia.
I have previously worked with the HSE and was awarded regional winner South by the Irish Institute of Community Health Nurses in 2016.
I recognise that moving into a nursing home is a significant milestone in ones’ life and, as such, I would be delighted for you to contact me directly by telephone 086 103 0863 or by e-mail email@example.com
My role as Director of Nursing & Person in Charge is very meaningful to me. My primary goal is to empower residents—to enable them to make choices and decisions in a supportive and nurturing environment, helping them feel part of their community, and having an excellent quality of life.
I have more than 20 years’ experience in aged care and retirement living, holding senior leadership roles in aged care facility management, commissioning roles, along with change management projects from refurbishments to implementing new models of care.
I am a registered nurse with a post registration qualification in leadership, HR management and change management. Most importantly I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, not only for our residents but for those who care for them.
It is a great pleasure to be part of the Brídhaven team with their exciting new vision. The importance of the spiritual care is valued, respected and nurtured by providing support for our residents, their loved ones, and staff, of all faiths and none. There has never been a time when this support was more necessary. With COVID-19, restorative care is needed in all areas of society but especially within the Nursing Homes of Ireland, who were particularly impacted in the most serious and traumatic of ways.
I am very skilled and have years of experience in delivering Meditation /Mindfulness group, practicing in a variety of settings. I also offer mindfulness /prayer sessions e.g. Rosary to small groups of residents and their loved ones. I also deliver spiritual care in an informal way such as through joining activities/outings, art, music, gardening, nature, etc.
My role as Assistant Director of Nursing is very rewarding and I love working with elderly people. I feel I really make a difference to their lives. For people with high levels of care needs, Bridhaven’s support is invaluable. With proper, attentive and respectful care, we ensure that they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life.
I have over 30 years Nursing experience and the last 17 years at Bridhaven as a Senior Nurse, then Clinical Nurse Manager before my current role. I believe that, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, empathy, being adaptable & positive, prioritising quality of care, honesty and transparency, will serve you well.
I hold an MSc in Nursing and BSc in Teaching and I am a Qualified Intensive Care Nurse for 13 years. I hold a Certificate of Higher Education in Healthcare, Foundation in Gerentological Nursing, Risk Management, Quality and Infection Prevention and Control & Audit, QQI Level 6: Dementia care, Nursing Regulation in Healthcare, Training Delivery and Evaluation, People Management Development Programme and Supervisory Management.
My role as the Assistant Director of Nursing is to support the Director of Nursing in the management of staff and the provision of resident care, to ensure the highest professional standards are maintained using an evidence based, person-centred approach. I feel very passionate about care for the older adult.
I have over 14 years of experience as a nurse, working in different sectors – acute setting, occupational health, and aged care. I have been with Bridhaven Nursing Home since 2016 and have been promoted three times before my current role.
I have post-graduate qualifications in Gerontological nursing, Leadership and Management, Nursing Regulation in Healthcare, Training Delivery and Evaluation, Risk Management, and Dementia care, as well as being the Education and Training lead, ensuring our staff are skilled and competent to provide quality and dignified care to our residents.
As a dedicated professional in the field of social care, I have a passion for supporting the social, emotional, and psychological well-being of the residents under my care. With over 20 years of experience in working with children of different ages and abilities, I have honed my skills in creating and implementing person-centred activities that cater to individual and group needs.
With an honour’s degree in Physical Education and Sport, I believe that my expertise in promoting physical activity and fitness can greatly benefit the residents in my care. However, I understand that social care is not limited to physical wellness alone. Hence, I make it a point to incorporate a holistic approach to care, ensuring that the emotional and psychological needs of each resident are also given utmost attention.
In my role, I work closely with the social care team to ensure that each resident’s identity is embraced and that they are supported in maintaining the relationships and interests that are most important to them. I am committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest.
I have vast culinary qualifications from both Lithuania and Ireland including a Masterclass in Preparing Meals for the Dysphagia Diet.
Prior to joining Brídhaven as Head Chef in 2019, I was Head Chef at several Irish restaurants including The Black Lamb, The White Deer and Springfort Hall Country House Hotel. I have brought the same high standards and style of food to our home here in Brídhaven and I feel privileged to be able to enhance the daily life of our residents.
I am committed to ensuring a varied and nutritious menu, made with the very best sourced local ingredients.
