We are passionate about doing everything we can to make sure that our residents have joy in their lives, a sense of purpose and feel at home in their surroundings. What makes us different is that nothing is too much trouble and we really do want to make our residents happy and comfortable. We want our residents to be surrounded by people and things they know and love. We know it’s often the little things that matter. We are here to make every day better.
We appreciate that life’s little things mean a lot, the way we like our cup of tea, how much marmalade we like on our toast! We take our time to really get to know what matters to our residents, their life’s passions and how they like to plan their day.
Our Resident & Family Liaison Manager ensures that the transition into Brídhaven is managed with sensitivity and compassion, and those little details are noted and communicated to the wider team.
We are passionate about doing everything we can to make sure our residents have joy in their lives, a sense of purpose and feel at home in their surroundings. Our exciting new activities plan and social calendar mean that Brídhaven is a place where our residents can flourish and enjoy their lives to the full, as well as integrating within their local community.
What makes a home great is the people who live and work here. Our caring team comprises highly qualified and compassionate people, trained to deal with everything from everyday support to more complex needs. From the friendly laundry lady who returns residents clothing, to the maintenance man who personalises residents’ rooms, to the social care team who help with favourite activities; all of us work to help our residents live their best life.
We understand what a huge decision it can be moving a loved one into a care home. We want you to continue to be part of this and with no restricted visiting times our doors are open for you to continue to be part of your loved one’s life.
Person & Family Centered Care is at the core of our ethos. We recognise that a resident’s experience of care is better when we have a collaborative relationship with families. Our dedicated Resident & Family Liaison Manager provides family support and consultation.
We recognise too that having a loved one who is affected with dementia can be very difficult for the whole family and it can feel overwhelming at times. Often there is an array of conflicting emotions – guilt, frustration, relief, worry. Not everyone understands the difficulties faced. Our monthly Relatives’ Dementia Support group offers support to you on this journey.
